About Darcie Long, LCSW
Darcie Long, MSW, LCSW uses a mind body approach combined with a traditional academic training in Clinical Social Work, Systemic Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Clients respond to her warmth and humor and her direct approach to solving psychological and interpersonal problems.
Darcie received her MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work and completed a Clinical internship in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit of Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. She has worked at Greystone Park State Psychiatric Hospital and many other mental health agencies over the years.
Darcie has training and a practice in yoga and mindfulness meditation. She has training in alternative healing methods such as guided imagery, healing hands therapy and intensive integrative therapy groups. Darcie believes that the best things she can bring to her patients is the hope and belief that their problems can be solved and the techniques to do it.
